Marcos Paulo signs pre-contract with Atlético

The Metropolitano have already secured the first reinforcement for the 2021-22 season. Attacker Marcos Paulo has reportedly signed a contract until 2026.

It is not official yet, but even Fluminense have already admitted that there is a link between the parties. "Marcos Paulo signed a pre-contract with Atlético," Fluminense president Mario Bittencourt told 'SporTV'.

The head of the Brazilian team said he did not know "the terms of the pre-contract". He made it clear, however, that his idea is to make a profit from his transfer.

"The idea is for us to receive some kind of compensation or even a percentage of his future sale," Bittencourt said.

According to 'Goal', Atletico are considering two options for the signing of Marcos Paulo. The first is to wait until July for him to arrive on a free transfer, at zero cost. The second option is to compensate Fluminense with a figure that, according to what is published by this media, would never exceed two million euros.
