Manchester United end their poor run and Liverpool's begins. Ten Hag's side managed to beat Klopp's side who have yet to win this season thanks to goals from Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho.
The first half was hard fought. The Red Devils started very well, recovering the ball quickly thanks to their high pressing. The home side managed to keep possession of the ball which made it difficult for Liverpool to attack.
In the 15th minute, Sancho scored a stunning goal to put the Mancunians ahead. Malacia received the ball near the byline after a pass from Eriksen and found Sancho with a pass to the penalty spot. The Englishman, with a fake shot, dribbled past Milner and shot to the near post to beat Alisson.
As the minutes went by Liverpool managed to keep possession of the ball but it was not enough to create clear goal scoring chances. However in the 41st minute, Milner headed the ball from a Liverpool corner and, Bruno Fernandes unintentionally shot into his own goal but luckily for the Portuguese Lisandro Martinez managed to block the shot.
In the second half Liverpool started very well but United managed to score again and extend their lead. Just seven minutes into the second half, Martial, who had come on to replace Elanga, controlled the ball and found Rashford with space through a long pass.
The former Borussia Dortmund player, after a long run, beat Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson with a shot at the near post. A few minutes later the Englishman came close to scoring United's third after a great move in which he dribbled past TAA and Elliott but his shot went wide grazing the crossbar.
However, Liverpool did not give up and managed to pull one back thanks to Salah in the 81st minute. Carvalho received the ball inside the box after a rebound and shot across but De Gea managed to save it. Salah, making the most of the rebound, headed the ball into the net.
