Man Utd legends dominate Hargreaves' dream five-a-side team

Owen Hargreaves has picked five Manchester United legends for his dream five-a-side team from past team-mates.

The former midfielder spent four years at Old Trafford after coming through the ranks at Bayern Munich, winning the Champions League with both clubs, along with the Bundesliga four times and Premier League once.

Despite his long spell with the German giants, Hargreaves opts for a full complement of United players to make up his five-a-side team, opting for Edwin van der Sar in goal, Rio Ferdinand in defence and a midfield and attack of Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs and Cristiano Ronaldo.

"One of the big reasons [to pick him] is because Rio [Ferdinand] was one of the best communicators I ever played with," Hargreaves told the Premier League's official website.

"Give [Scholes] the ball anywhere and he always seemed to be one or two steps ahead of everyone else. It was almost like chess. He made it look too easy at times.

"[Ronaldo is] one of the greatest players we’ve ever seen – and he's still playing. He's the perfect player to provide the goals for my team".
