According to the 'Mirror', the United board are keeping a very close eye on Mauricio Pochettino. The coach is one of the favourites to take over at the club if Solskjaer does not continue.
In principle, United are thinking will Solskjaer will continue. That said, the team must finish in the top six.
If Solskjaer is unable to lead Man U to a top six finish, then United will not hesitate in trying to sign Pochettino. The board believe that the ex-Tottenham boss would fit in perfectly at the club.
Time is passing, but at Old Trafford, Pochettino's name remains very present. Solskjaer, meanwhile, is fighting to meet the club's target and continue as manager at the club next season.
