Man United plot to bring Merino back to the Premier League

Mikel Merino, who has been playing for Real Sociedad for five seasons, is being targeted by Premier League giants Manchester United to strengthen their midfield next campaign.

The 27-year-old already knows what it is like to play in the English top-flight as he played for Newcastle in the 2017/18 season but failed to secure a permanent stay.

According to 'The Sun', the Red Devils have sent scouts to keep an eye on his situation as the English club's co-owner Jim Ratcliffe plans to restructure United for the summer.

The Spaniard's current contract with Real Sociedad expires in 2025. As a result, the La Liga side could be interested in selling him in the next transfer window if they do not decide to extend his deal.
