Man City's Haaland sparks controversy with Moldavia comment

Erling Haaland was the spokesperson for Norway ahead of their opening match in the World Cup qualification phase. The Manchester City striker addressed potential sanctions for his club and spoke about the upcoming match.
However, the Norwegian forward caused a stir among Moldavian fans when he was asked if he knew anything about the Moldavian team. His blunt response was: "No idea."
"For me, this is very important. I will do everything in my power to help ensure we qualify," the forward said, having missed the last few major tournaments with Norway.
On the potential sanction for Manchester City, he made it clear he wasn't worried: "Obviously, I'm not concerned about that since I've signed a 9-and-a-half-year contract."
"It doesn't make sense to think about City now that I'm playing for the national team. We must keep improving. Excuses no longer make sense. We need to deliver," the Norway striker added.
