Man City leave race to sign Bayern target Florian Wirtz

Rumours emerged last week that Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz, who was expected to have all but agreed with Bayern Munich to join the Allian Arena outfit, was also in talks with Manchester City.
Indeed, the German midfielder was seen by the Cityzens as a perfect addition to fill the void left by Kevin de Bruyne once he leaves the Munich club at the end of the season.
However, there has been a twist in the German's transfer saga. The Sky Blues have abandoned negotiations with the German club because they consider the cost of the deal to be too expensive, according to the BBC.
Bayern Munich are now the favourites in the race to land Wirtz, but with financially-muscled City pulling out over the cost of the move, perhaps the reigning Bundesliga champions will also decide to pull out of the race for the German international.
