Maksimovic sees Getafe as more "focused" after taking down Barca

Getafe's Serbian midfielder Nemanja Maksimovic told the Serbian sports press on Monday that his team's 1-0 win over Barcelona last Saturday boosted confidence among the squad.

"The victory against Barcelona will not relax us. We are always focused on the next game," Maksimovic said in a telephone interview for Monday's edition of the sports newspaper 'Sportski zurnal'.

"We have more confidence in ourselves after celebrating the victory against the great rival," he said.

However, before the match against Granada, with whom his team is now level on points (10), he warned that "every game is a different story, especially because Granada has made a good start".

Maksimovic said that in games against strong teams Getafe usually "surprise with the intensity of their pressure".

According to the player, the Spanish league is quite evenly matched at the moment. "It seems to me that each of the 20 clubs can beat anyone," he said, and considered that Getafe will have it easier this season, because it doesn't play in the Europa League and can be focused on the national championship.
