Puel believes there is no underlying animosity between Mahrez and the club, and he has drawn a line under the affair, insisting that the Algerian is happy to move forward with Leicester.
"I think it is important now to put an end to the talking about Riyad. He has come back, he came in against Manchester City. Now we need to move on and for him, he has to kick on," the Frenchman said.
"Yeah, I think better. He enjoys playing and training with his team-mates. He is at a good level and without problems," he continued when asked about Mahrez's performances since his return.
Leicester face Sheffield United in the FA Cup next and Wes Morgan could make his return from a hamstring injury.
