Madrid's Ceballos to miss Man City showdown

Real Madrid midfielder Daniel Ceballos could be out of action for ten days due to a muscle overload in his left thigh. The Spaniard missed the Copa del Rey final against Osasuna and could be unavailable to face Manchester City on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old was injured in the last training session before Saturday's match and announced on Twitter that he would not be able to help his team: "It was a very special match for me because it was played in Seville. I'm hurt and sad but I'll recover," he wrote.

According to 'EFE', Ceballos underwent medical tests on Sunday morning as soon as the squad arrived in Madrid. The doctors confirmed that his injury is not serious and that he is suffering from muscle overload.

The same media outlet reports that the midfielder will be out of action for seven to ten days. As a result, the Spain international is likely to miss the first leg of the Champions League semi-final against Guardiola's side. However, Real Madrid have not yet confirmed his injury.
