Madrid forget about Yoro and set their sights on Laporte

Real Madrid focused their efforts on signing Leny Yoro from Lille, but the young Frenchman is very close to being transferred to Manchester United. This added to the departure of Nacho, makes the ‘Merengues’ scan the market in search of a new defender.
According to ‘El Mundo’, Real Madrid are thinking of Aymeric Laporte as a ‘plan B’ to reinforce their defence. The Al Nassr player would be a cheap and attractive option, considering what he has contributed to Spain at the European Championship.
Laporte is tied to Al Nassr until June 2026 but would be willing to return to European football, so he would do his part in the negotiation. Real Madrid would be interested in signing him on loan for the 2024-25 season.
It is not the first time that the Spanish defender has been linked with Real Madrid. After Eder Militao's injury, when he was a Manchester City player, there was speculation that he would arrive on loan and replace the Brazilian while he was recovering.
