Luis Suarez's Italian examiner sentenced to a year in jail

The now former teacher at Perugia University for foreigners, Lorenzo Rocca, has been sentenced to a year in prison. He was also the examiner for Luis Suarez's Italian test.
Rocca negotiated with the prosecution service to get the sentence reduced to just one year. He pleaded guilty to revealing official secrets and falsifying documents.
The Italian justice have investigated everyone who was involved in the supposed exam Luis Suarez had to take to obtain Italian nationality. That was necessary if he wanted to sign for Juventus.
It is the first firm sentence with regards to the case. It highlighted the seriousness of the situation involving both the teachers and Juventus.
In December, the dean of the Perugia University for foreigners, Giuliana Grego Bolli resigned. She had already been suspended as a result of what happened with this test.
Suarez, in fact, even admitted that he knew the questions on the exam beforehand.
It all came to light after it was revealed how short the exam was, the questions on it and the conversations between the teachers. They said that Suarez did not meet the required level.
