Luis Enrique 'close' to becoming new Chelsea manager

After a 4-1 thrashing away at Watford and an embarrassing 3-0 home defeat to Bournemouth, the reigning champions risk slipping out of the top-four.
These losses have put Antonio Conte's job under increased scrutiny with Luis Enrique appearing as the forerunner to take over the head coach role at Chelsea.
The ex-Barcelona manager has been out of a job since last summer and, with Chelsea set to face his old side in the last 16 of the Champions League, could see the new job role as the perfect opportunity for revenge.
Conte, however, maintains that he has no fears about losing his job.
"I work every day, and I give 120 per cent. Okay? If this is enough, it's okay," said the Italian in his team's post-match interview.
"Otherwise, the club can take a different decision. But I'm not worried. Tomorrow is another day. I can be the Chelsea coach or not. Which is the problem? My soul is clear."
He concluded: "I try to do everything. If it's not good, the club can make a different decision. Life goes on."
Given current form, any chance Chelsea had at closing in on leaders Manchester City looks to be fading away. Could Luis Enrique be the right man to reinvigorate this Chelsea side?
Well, the Spaniard certainly proved his managerial skills at Barcelona, winning 2 La Liga titles and the Champions League in 2015 during his three years in charge.
Spanish newspaper 'Sport', who suggest Enrique is 'one step away' from taking over at Chelsea, have also tipped a return to Stamford Bridge for Juliano Belletti, this time swapping his former role as full-back for that of sporting director.
On Tuesday, the club's board are scheduled to meet to discuss Conte's future. The outcome of this meeting could prove to be a turning point for Chelsea's season.
