Luis Diaz still part of Liverpool plans despite renewed Bayern interest

The Colombian winger was omitted from the squad for Sunday's friendly fixture, but has been included in the group travelling for the pre-season tour, signalling that the club are not currently considering a sale.
Bayern, however, are not giving up easily. The German champions are preparing a fresh offer for the 28-year-old as they step up their efforts to lure him to the Bundesliga. Manager Vincent Kompany is understood to be a big admirer of Diaz and sees him as a key piece in his rebuild at the Allianz Arena.
Liverpool, for their part, remain reluctant to part ways with the former Porto man, who has become a key figure at Anfield since his arrival in 2022. The Reds are said to be holding firm in their stance, but Bayern are hopeful that a revised bid could test the club's resolve.
With the summer window gathering pace, much will depend on how far the Bavarians are willing to go financially—and whether Liverpool are open to reshaping their attack. For now, the winger's inclusion in the tour suggests he remains a core part of the club's short-term vision.
