Luis Diaz's father breaks his silence after kidnapping

Luis Diaz's father only hopes that his kidnapping will help Colombia to lay the foundations for a country at peace. At a press conference, he spoke to the media and briefly explained how he felt during the 12 days that the ELN held him against his will.
"The first 2 or 3 days I suffered with food issues. We had no location or anything. Then after 3 days I felt a change, it seemed like I was in the hands of the ELN. They talked to me and treated me differently. I really have no complaints, I felt pressured by the walks, by the place where I was, I didn't know where I was going", he said.
Immediately afterwards, Luis Manuel Diaz wanted to send a message to his captors and, in general, to the whole of society: "To all the brothers, you have to talk to them like this because they are brothers, they are all brothers. To all the brothers in the mountains, to the legal and non-legally constituted groups, I call for reflection. Let us dialogue so that Colombia, not in one or two years, but in three or four, becomes a country of peace for the whole world in general".
"Let's lay down our arms, let's use our pens and notebooks. Let's work intelligently so that Colombia can be the country with the best peace. I raise my hand and ask everyone, presidents and people of the mountains, let us unite, let us make efforts, and let us make a beautiful country," he closed an emotional speech that was applauded by all those listening.
