Lucas close to switching allegiances

Lucas Hernández made his decision some months back and has opted for Spain rather than Didier Deschamps' French side. 

Whilst his younger brother Théo is still playing with France, Lucas has decided to try his chances with 'La Roja'. He began the process of naturalization several weeks ago in order to be available for selection for Julen Lopetegui's World Cup squad. 

Despite having played 28 times at various levels for France's youth sides, Lucas's chances of being picked for the first team were always a doubt. Now, he's putting all his eggs in Spain's basket. According to 'France Football', Hernández's naturalizaton process has almost come to an end. 

Good news for Spain, not so great news for 'Les Bleus.'
