Lovren: 'Ramos makes more mistakes than me, but he plays for Real Madrid'

The Croatian has often been criticised for his errors in his Liverpool career to date, with many of the opinion that the 29-year-old is not good enough for a side of the Reds' calibre.
However, the former Southampton man has now hit back, saying that he makes less mistakes than Ramos, a man often considered to be the best defender in the world.
"Sometimes I don't deserve the hate. If you look, Ramos has many more mistakes than me," he told 'Copa90'.
"But he plays for Real Madrid, when you do a mistake you win 5-1 or 5-2, nobody cares about the mistake.
"I'm quite unlucky in that when I make a mistake it's 1-0 and the game is finished."
Following the same theme, Lovren went on to insist that Ramos isn't even the best defender in the Real Madrid team, let alone the world.
"I like [Raphael] Varane, he deserves a lot of credit," he added. "He doesn't get it as much as Ramos gets. I don't agree with that.
"Definitely Varane is better, this season and previous seasons. He won the Champions League and the World Cup. He should be the best defender in the world and they chose Ramos."
