Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp 'didnt understand a word' of Nunez's spat with Guardiola

Tempers did not flare during Liverpool's draw with Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, but they did at full-time when Darwin Nunez went up against Pep Guardiola.

The Uruguay striker, when he shook hands with the Spanish coach before going to the dressing room, appeared to reprimand him in a heated exchange. Reds boss Jurgen Klopp had to drag the former Benfica man away from there, playing a somewhat common peacemaker role in it.

The German coach was asked what happened between his player and Guardiola, but was unable to explain as he did not understand what the two said.

"I love them both and so I tried to calm the situation down. I was absolutely not involved, surprisingly!" he said. "I am not sure I am the right one to explain it without knowing 100 per cent what happened because I didn't understand a word.

"It was emotion. Pep wants to win, we want to win. Both didn't win so obviously nobody was really happy and these things can happen," Klopp concluded.
