Liverpool and Man Utd after Joao Gomes

Flamengo player Joao Gomes is having an incredible season. So much so that, at the age of 21, he is attracting the attention of the best clubs in Euope. He was linked previously with Atletico Madrid and AC Milan, but 'Liverpool Echo' and Brazilian journalist Julio Miguel Neto say that Man Utd and Liverpool also want him. 

Apparently, in the case of Liverpool, Arthur Melo, player who arrived on loan with an option to buy in the summer, has not won over the German coach. They are looking for a replacement for the 26 year-old midfielder.

The Red Devils want to get the Flamengo player to improve the midfield, which Erik Ten Hag is not happy with. The manager was only able to get the last minute signings of Casemiro and Anthony. 

Flamengo, due to the possibility of losing the Brazilian youngster, got down to work and announced the player's renewal. He had a contract until 2025 and it was extended until 2027, so all of the player's suitors will have to fork out a large amount of money if they want him in the upcoming transfer windows.
