Leicester to release Schmeichel so he can go to Nice

Goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel managed to earn the same respect and admiration that his father Peter earned. The Dane put and end to his important career at Leicester City, who will let him leave for Nice on a free, as he has a year left on his contract. This is according to 'Foot Mercato'.
After more than 10 years, the goalkeeper became a legend of the English club and the Premier League. His interventions were vital to winning the Premier League for the first time in the 2015-16 season. That led to him playing in the Champions League with Leicester City and reaching the quarter-finals of it.
At the age of 35, Schmeichel will sign a new contract which will see him go to Nice for the next two seasons. In fact, his current coach Lucien Favre was the main person to support his signing.
The Denmark international made more than 500 appearances in England, where is a role model for many. That is also the case at Leicester. Last season, he made 51 appearances and kept 20 clean sheets.
