Lamine Yamal trains normally after speaking to his father by phone

Three people have been arrested by Barcelona police for their alleged involvement in the stabbing of Mounir Nasraoui, who is the father of Barcelona international player Lamine Yamal.

Lamine Yamal's father remains in the Can Ruti University Hospital with injuries of varying degrees, although there are no fears for his life. The young player, meanwhile, went to training as normal on Thursday morning, when his teammates tucked him in to support him in the aftermath.

He spoke to his parent on the phone, according to 'Sport', and was relieved to hear that he was out of danger. He is expected to be called up for this weekend's La Liga game against Valencia.

The Can Ruti hospital has not yet provided any medical report on the progress of Mounir Nasraoui, who suffered two stab wounds to the abdomen. The Barcelona police have taken charge of the investigation into the attack on the footballer's father.
