Lamine's father breaks his silence after knife attack: "I'm better now, a big hug"

After lunchtime on Wednesday, Mounir Nasraoui was walking his dog in the streets of Rocafonda in Mataro, Barcelona. According to police investigations, there had long been tension in the neighbourhood because his son, Lamine Yamal, had chosen to represent the Spanish national team in his football career, so some neighbours threw water on his father, who threatened the perpetrators of the affront.

In the evening, at around 21:00 CEST, at least four people were involved in an attack on his person that resulted in two stab wounds to the abdomen. He was rushed to the Germans Trias i Pujol university hospital in Badalona, Can Ruti, with a serious prognosis, but he soon improved. The following day, which is the one that concerns these lines, he published a brief text on his Instagram profile to indicate that he is well.

"Thank you all for your encouragement, I'm better now, a big hug," he wrote in the stories section of the social network. He attached an emoticon of a bicep and another of a heart, as well as an extract from the rapper Morad's song ‘He visto’. Half of two verses can be heard and three others can be heard in full. They suggest a dig at those with whom he is feuding.
