Kondogbia has Gracia's trust

Javi Gracia has put his trust in Kondogbia. The coach knows that the player was on the brink of leaving in the transfer market but in the end, the deal wasn't concluded and now the reality is that both parties have to just get on with it.

The Frenchman will spend this season as one of the key cornerstones for Javi Gracia in midfield thanks to his experience and his ability to cover the whole field, threatening going forward and in defence.

Valencia, however, was happy with the offer that it received from Atletico Madrid to sign the 27-year-old midfielder at first. But in the and the Valencians insisted on the Madrid side matching his 30 million euro buyout fee and Atletico didn't want to part ways with that amount of cash.

Moreover, Gracia staying at the club was key for convincing the player to stay in Valencia. It could be a very different story during the next transfer market.
