Klopp defends Darwin Nunez: "He's adapting"

Darwin Nunez was one of the big signings of the summer transfer window. Liverpool invested close to 100 million euros to compete with Erling Haaland's move to Manchester City, but, at present, there is a big difference between them. While the Norwegian has scored 17 goals in eleven games, the Uruguayan has scored two in seven.

He understands that he is still adapting and that they have to keep trusting in his level.

"We have to be patient with Darwin, he is just adapting. We told him that we are completely calm with him. It's very important for us that Darwin doesn't worry," he said. He also believes that the bad form of the team, on certain occasions, affects the strikers more than the rest of the team.

"When new players come in, we all want them to succeed immediately. Sometimes it happens, but usually it doesn't. We have to be calm. When the team is not at its best, things become more complicated for the strikers. It's not that everything is going well and we just need one player to score," Klopp said.
