Kessie booed at San Siro over signing for Barca

Franck Kessie will come to the end of his contract at AC Milan this summer and he has decided to make Barcelona his next destination. His future teammate, Sergio Busquets, confirmed this to Barca fans. Consequently, the 'Rossonera' fans are not happy with the player as in the months leading up to his agreement with Barcelona, he had messed Milan around in terms of signing a renewal deal at the club.
Because of this, when Kessie was substituted on in the 70th minute in AC Milan's 0-0 draw against Bologna on Monday night, he was greeted with boos and whistles from the San Siro faithful. He was only on the pitch for a short while but it was more than enough time to hear the fans' frustrations.
The Ivorian joined the team in the 2017/18 campaign and has provided the fans with years of good moments. Therefore, their recent distain comes as a surprise. Fortunately for him, he still has the rest of the season to win back the fans by continuing to provide them with good performances on the pitch.
Kessie is enjoying a green patch in his career, and his exit to Barca will be the first time that he has played outside of Italy in his professional career. In doing so, he will add experience of playing in the second best league in the world to his CV.
