Kepa remains coy on long-term future as Bournemouth await Chelsea talks

The Spanish goalkeeper, currently on loan from Chelsea, revealed that discussions with his club are scheduled in the coming weeks, leaving the door open to several possibilities ahead of the summer transfer window.
Speaking after Bournemouth's recent 2-2 draw at West Ham, Kepa addressed his future with caution. "I'm really happy here and enjoying my football," he said. "I feel good on the pitch and I think that shows, but it's not the right moment to make decisions. I'm still under contract with Chelsea, and we'll have conversations soon to see what comes next."
The 30-year-old has impressed on the south coast during his time at the Vitality Stadium, with Bournemouth keen to retain his services beyond this season. However, the current loan deal does not include an option to buy, meaning any potential transfer would require fresh negotiations with Chelsea.
While Bournemouth are reportedly ready to offer a significant fee to make the move permanent, the player's strong performances have also attracted interest from elsewhere.
Kepa's contract with Chelsea runs until the summer of 2026, but his future may well be shaped by the conversations set to take place in the coming weeks—talks that could determine whether his time at Bournemouth becomes something more permanent.
