Attacker Luka Jovic joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2019. Three years later, he is about to leave the Spanish team. It has not gone as expected and he hopes to succeed at his next destination.
Fiorentina are waiting for Jovic. 'Marca' claims that the Serbian will arrive in Florence this Friday. It will be when his farewell to Real Madrid will be finalised.
Jovic will leave for free to Fiorentina. He will not leave, therefore, a single euro in the coffers of the 'Merengue' club, although the club reserves 50% of a possible future sale.
The striker will commit himself until 2024 with the Italian club. Once that time has passed and if the Fiore are convinced, he could extend his contract until 2026.
Madrid are rubbing their hands with his departure because, although he will leave no money in the coffers, the club will free up the 30 million euros gross that the player received. A figure that will now be used to invest in other matters.
As for Jovic's salary in Italy, it is unknown. According to the Italian press, it will be considerably lower than the salary he received at Madrid.
Jovic's father has defended his son tooth and nail. He hopes that Fiorentina will be a chance for him to prove his potency. "Now we'll see who's right," he said recently.
