Jovic now training with the group: gives third negative

Jovic trained alongside the rest of his teammates after spending a few somewhat complicated days. Good news for Zinedine Zidane, who will have a new asset upfront available in case he wants to give a rest to Benzema.

The alarm bells rang last week when one of Jovic's close friends tested positive for coronavirus. A situation that forced action: the attacker was confined in his home awaiting the tests.

He underwent two COVID-19 tests in the following days in which he tested negative, but he still had to wait for a third one to ensure it. And that has been the case: Jovic isn't infected.

For that reason, the player returned to training with Real Madrid on Tuesday morning with the aim of continuing their tuning for the championship finale.

With the win against Granada, Los Blancos maintain their four point advantage over Barca (plus goal difference) with six points left to play for. With two matches ahead, Jovic could get game time to manage Benzema's tiredness, The knockout tie against City is still on the horizon...
