Jenas: 'I still do not think Arsenal will break top four'

In his column for the 'Mail on Sunday' former Tottenham player turned football pundit, Jermaine Jenas, has cast doubt on whether Arsenal will be able to finish in the top four at the end of the current campaign.
Jenas praised the rejuvenation of the club since the arrival of Unai Emery and the boardroom reshuffle, but he still doesn't believe that it will be enough to see Arsenal earn a place back in the Champions League.
In his weekly newspaper column, Jenas wrote the following: 'It is probably harsh to say that Arsenal are overachieving with their 11 consecutive wins, which under any circumstances is a wonderful achievement. And even as a former Tottenham player, it’s just good to see a change of atmosphere at the club and in the stadium, which was depressing last season.'
However he would continue to doubt Arsenal's top four aspirations, noting: 'Arsenal have a spring in their step. Often when a new manager comes you get that effect. They look fitter and stronger, and I’ve no doubt training is more physical and competitive and the team is reaping the rewards of that. However, whether they can sustain this run and stay in the top four is questionable. I still don’t think they will be good enough defensively over the season to do that. '
After 22 years of Arsene Wenger in the dugout, Arsenal finally brought in a new man in the form of Unai Emery, and after a rocky start, the Spaniard has his team firing on all cylinders once again in the Premier League.
Arsenal travel to Selhurst Park on Sunday afternoon, to face a Crystal Palace side who are yet to score a goal at home this season, and so Emery and his squad will be optimistic of adding a further win to their so far impressive run.
