Inter Milan want to renew Çalhanoglu's contract

Inter Milan want to reinforce their squad in the World Cup break. In recent days, the Italian side were considering their departures and new arrivals in the January transfer window.
They are also thinking about renewals. Inter want to renew Hakan Çalhanoglu's contract in order to keep him in the squad. His contract expires in 2024 and Simone Inzaghi would not be willing to let the midfielder leave because he is a key player for the coach.
According to 'Corriere dello Sport', Inter Milan will prepare a meeting with the player to convince him to renew his contract in the short term. In fact, journalist Ekrem Konur claimed that the extension would be until 2026, as they do not want to let him leave for free before the coming winter and summer transfer markets.
Çalhanoglu has played 20 competitive matches for the Italian club this season, scoring just three goals and providing five assists.
