One of Real Madrid's names of the summer was Kubo. The Japanese player surprised in preseason, but the club decided that the best thing for him was to have the chance to play in the First Divison, on loan. And Mallorca were the first to snap him up!
Now at the Balearic team, Kubo faces a special game against Real Madrid. He also mentioned it in his last interview with 'Marca', in which he recalled why he chose Real Madrid and not other potential clubs.
"I signed for Real Madrid because I had a future plan for myself. They insisted a lot that they wanted me," said the Japanese midfielder, thus revealing what the white team was able to offer him during the summer market to finalise his signing.
For Kubo, it was important to go to a club with big players. It's not easy to share a dressing room with stars. But, atleast for him, one stood out from the rest.
"The first day that I played with Hazard it excited me a little bit, before i saw his videos," the now Mallorca footballer stated, who hopes to perform at his best so that everyone can understand the decision he made.
He wants to give reasons for the Madrid fans to hope in the future: "Against Real Madrid I have to show why I came to Mallorca instead of staying at Castilla."
To finish, he also recalled his time at Barcelona, when the team were sanctioned for failing to comply with Article 19 of the Regulations on the Statute and Transfer of players: "For a child of 13 years it's hard, you want to play football and do not know why you got kicked out of the country. In fact, I still don't know. If a kid wants to play football in a good club, I don't see why he can't do it".
