Samuel Umtiti, who has repeatedly been out of the pitch due to a knee injury, admitted in an interview to 'Canal Football Club' that he had to endure pain during the World Cup in Russia. A decision he doesn't regret, as he is now world champion.

"I had to force my knee during the World Cup. But now I'm a World champion," said Samuel Umtiti.

Since then, Umtiti has played just 21 games. 15 of them with Barça, the other six with France. His knee has become an ongoing torture for the Frenchman.

Of course, it is clear that, if he were to be in this situation again, Umtiti would play again. "In life you have to make decisions and I chose that ... I'm not sorry," he said.

Umtiti always wanted to play in Barcelona. A dream come true for the World Cup winner. "When I was a child I had one goal: to play for Barça," he said.

And now, in his third year as a Barça player, he hopes to make his mark in the Camp Nou. "I'm come to stay for the long run and win titles," he made clear.
