"I already feel at home"

The 25-year-old made it clear that he had followed his heart and that his ambition with the Ligue 1 side is to win trophies. The forward rejected the notion that he had only made the move for the money.
PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaïfi opened the press conference by saying: "I am very proud to present a great player and a superstar Neymar Jr. We welcome you to our home. He is a worldwide idol.
"For me, Neymar is the best player in the world. He has brought a huge energy already to the team and the fans have been dreaming of Neymar. With Neymar, our project is stronger and Ligue 1 becomes more interesting to the world."
Before Neymar thanked the club for making the move happen: "I am very happy. Thank you to the president thank you to everyone. I am very proud to be here. It's a huge club and Paris is a beautiful city. We want to win titles together here."
Both player and chairman were forced to deny claims made by the press. Firstly, Neymar denied that the move had anything to do with being 'the star' or that it was motivated by money.
On the topic of money he explained: "These are people who don't know my life. I am never motivated by money. I want happiness for myself and my family.
"I follow my heart, not the path of money. I am sorry for people who think this way about me. I am here to fulfil my potential."
When asked if 'being the star' was a reason for him leaving Barcelona, the Brazilian explained: "I came for the ambition of the club. I want to help this team to win titles.
"It was my decision. I wanted to come to Paris. I wanted a new challenge. It wasn't about feeling more of a star at Barcelona. It's not about protagonist. It's about a new feeling and a new challenge and different titles. My motivation is to win trophies."
"I wanted a new challenge. This was about ambition," he told the gathered press.

Al-Khelaifi denied that the move had anything to do with Barcelona's reported interest in Marco Verratti earlier in the summer: "It is nothing to do with the club approaching Marco Verratti. He (Neymar) is the best player in the world and we want him at our club. We have a lot of respect for their club and their fans."
Neymar was forced to defend his move, with the Spanish press clearly upset about his departure: "I've done nothing bad. I'm sad that the Barcelona fans think that. I've never lacked respect for the fans, and I think every player should be allowed to stay or leave a club.
"You're not obligated to stay - if you want to leave, that's it. Once again, I really want to thank all the Barcelona fans, the club, the players, my friends, and I'm sad that people might think that."
The Brazilian ended the press conference with three words that are certain to further endear him to his new fans: "PSG are magic."
