'He’s still my friend' - Fermin denies broken relationship with Gavi

In recent days, there has been a lot of noise surrounding Fermin Lopez and the FC Barcelona dressing room. One of the rumours that could have torpedoed the good atmosphere within the 'Cules' squad was the alleged rift between Fermin Lopez and Gavi.
Many Spanish media outlets reported that the two players had stopped talking to each other due to an alleged fight between their respective partners, something the midfielder denied in an interview with 'Mundo Deportivo'.
"He’s still my friend. People will always speculate, that’s not going to change. We have a good relationship, as always, and there is nothing more to say about it." he said.
In addition, the 22-year-old midfielder also made clear his desire to remain at Barcelona despite being linked with a move to Chelsea in the final days of the transfer window.
"My priority has always been Barcelona. This club is my dream since I was a kid”. “It is always a compliment that there is interest from other clubs, but the truth is that I always wanted to stay and succeed at Barca. I see myself completing my contract until 2029 at Barcelona. I don't want to leave. I love this club," he concluded.
