Eden Hazard is linked with Real Madrid every time summer roles around. It's no surprise really; outside of the traditional top three players in the world (Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar), the Chelsea forward is arguably the best of the rest, and that makes him an obvious target for 'Los Blancos'.
The Belgian has never done much to distance himself from these rumours, and in a recent interview he has made it clear that if Madrid come knocking, he could well accpet their offer.
Hazard, who Chelsea are reportedly trying to tie down to a new £300,000 per week contract, has been speaking with French outlet 'L'Equipe', where he began by insisting his focus was on the World Cup.
"I don't want to speak about transfers now. I have been asked so many times about that. I am focused on the World Cup," the playmaker, who is out in Russia with the 'Red Devils', said.
"But as I have already said, I have won everything in London outside the Champions League. If I am here in my career, it is thanks to Chelsea."
That being said, he made it clear that he is not guaranteed to stay in the English captain, pointing to the uncertainty around the managerial situation at his current club.
"It would be too easy to say: I want to leave because I have done everything," he explained. "It is for that before everything that I would really like to know what will happen at the club next year."
"I am waiting to see if the coach stays or goes. If I stay, it will be because the team will be better than the season we have just experienced. I do not want to stay if we are less good."
He then offered a sort of 'come get me' plea to Real Madrid. "Real Madrid can interest me," he stated. "Everyone knows that."
"But if tomorrow this club does not want me, we will no longer speak about it. If they want to buy me they know what they have to do. It is necessary to have a project. I still have a project at Chelsea."
"If I have a beautiful World Cup, things will be easier."
