Finally, one of the transfer sagas of the summer ended with Harry Kane confirming on social media that he was staying at the club. This was despite receiving very attractive offers from other top clubs such as Man City.
Now, the Englishman is looking to take Spurs as far as possible in the Conference League and to get back his place in the Premier League. Tottenham have started the league season with two wins at least.
As a result of staying at the club, Kane believes he deserves a pay rise. 'The Sun' and 'The Times' reported that the attacker has asked for 18 million pounds a season as well as 85,000 pounds a week.
'The Telegraph' also writes that the striker has demanded a clause in his new contract which means that Tottenham have to negotiate a possible departure if the offer meets certain criteria.
After hearing these requests, the club will have to decide whether to renew Kane, whose contract expires in 2024. He will be 31 shortly after the end of his contract.
