"Haaland likes the idea of Spain and is looking for a long term project"

Michu, sporting director of Burgos, has a good relationship with Haaland. The striker has never hidden the fact that the Asturian ex footballer is one of his idols. They know each other well, and because of this, Michu believes Haaland will end up playing in Spain. 

Michu revealed this when interviewed on the 'Que t'hi jugues'. A radio programme produced by 'Cadena SER'. "I was with Haaland, I had a conversation with him and I believe that he will not stay at Dortmund. Haaland is looking for a big team, who can really compete in the Champions League. He's looking for a competitive team", he explained. 

"He gave me the feeling that he is searching for a project that will last for many years and he told me that he likes Spain. He is thinking about a project more so than the money. If Mbappe goes to Madrid, I believe Barca will be his best option. Considering the times we are in, Haaland is cheap", he added. 

As an ex player for Napoli, the interview turned its focus on the club being one of Barca's rivals in this year's Europa league, and to the current state of the Catalan side. "I wish Xavi a great career and much success as manager", he said. 

To conclude, he also said: "I believe he is the ideal man for Barca, football does not have a memory and times move quickly, but this is what Barca and Xavi need right now."
