It came as a surprise to everyone that Manchester City were not capable of beating Norwich City away from home. With Pep Guardiola's team suffering a 3-2 defeat and being forced to return home empty handed.
Making matters worse, Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool were victorious over Newcastle, putting them in first in the Premier League table with a maximum 15 points, with the 'Blues' five points behind in second place.
In a press conference, Pep Guardiola showed his disgust with the situation and did not hesitate in sending Klopp a message: "Congratulations Liverpool, you are the Champions".
He added: "We are in September, Ladies and Gentleman. What can we do. We have to recover ourselves and go to Ukraine. Then we will come back stronger".
"Of course we are five points behind. We played very well against Tottenham. And in this game the mistakes were key... We have to know exactly what we must do", Guardiola said.
