Griezmann confirms he is staying with like

Although Antoine Griezmann has not started so far in the 2022-23 season, the Frenchman is clear that he can persuade Simeone he can start. The attacker is not thinking of leaving Atletico Madrid at all this summer. 

The Frenchman liked a post to end any rumours of his future. "Don't believe the nonsense that is being said there. Confirmed by his family: "Griezmann is staying at Atleti," a Twitter user wrote. 

The fact Griezmann liked that comment invites one to think that, indeed, he is not thinking of leaving Atletico as 'L'Equipe' said this Wednesday. 

The French media outlet wrote that there could be surprises on the final day of the market. The fact Atletico have to pay Barca 40 million euros for Griezmann next summer made the newapaper think they could sell him if he was not guaranteed minutes. It could not be further from the truth. 

In the four matchdays played up to now in La Liga, the striker has played 82 minutes. He has come off the bench in all the matches, but he can already brag about having scored twice. He is hoping to vastly increase that this year.
