Spain have now revealed their squad for the Nations League Final Four event. Spain will play a semi-final and either a third place play-off or the final.
Luis Enrique has once again made some surprise inclusions. Very few people were expecting Barca academy player Gavi Paez to be called up. He is getting his first bit of game time for Barca's first team.
The 17 year-old is not the only new face in Luis Enrique's squad. Villarreal footballer Yeremi Pino, who had been a regular for the under 21s, is also included.
As expected, Pedri is back in the Spain squad. He did not take part in the matches during the September international break in order to have a rest after his packed summer. He is back now for the Nations League though.
Spain will first play hosts Italy. It will be on 6th October at 20:45 CEST at the San Siro. The winner will face the winner of Belgium against France and the loser will play the other loser.
Injuries have played a part in Luis Enrique's picks, especially in attack. Morata, Gerard Moreno, Dani Olmo and Abel Ruiz were all unavailable.
The full squad is the following: Unai Simón, Rober Sánchez, De Gea; Azpilicueta, Pedro Porro, Eric García, Laporte, Íñigo Martínez, Pau Torres, Reguilón y Marcos Alonso; Busquets, Rodri, Pedri; Mikel Merino, Koke, Gavi; Ferran Torres, Sarabia, Oyarzabal, Fornals, Marcos Llorente and Yeremi Pino.
