Fulham, Crystal Palace and Stoke City add Soares, Lokonga and Pearson to their ranks

It's been a busy day in English football. Just a few hours after the winter transfer window closed, many clubs are unveiling their new signings.
Among them are Fulham, who managed to reach an agreement with Arsenal to sign Cedric Soares, a 31-year-old Portuguese right-back who was not part of Mikel Arteta's plans. The Portuguese defender has signed until the end of the season.

But Soares is not the only loan move Arsenal have completed. They have also managed to agree a loan deal for 23-year-old midfielder Sambi Lokonga, who has signed for Crystal Palace until 30th June 2023.
So far this season, Lokonga has made a total of 15 appearances under Arteta and started all six of the Gunners' Europa League group stage games.

Ben Pearson has also signed a new contract until the end of the 2022-23 season, but with Stoke City. The 28-year-old midfielder leaves Bournemouth, a club where he lacks space, on a temporary basis to start a new journey in English football.
Following the arrivals of Matija Sarkic, Bersant Celina and Ki-Jana Hoever, Pearson becomes the team's fourth addition in the January transfer window.
