Frustrated Pellegrini storms out

Following the derby loss to Manchester United, and their fifth home defeat of the season, which leaves his team 15 points adrift of league leaders Leicester, Manuel Pellegrini was in no mood for criticism.
When asked by interviewer Geoff Shreeves why City were on a lower number of points at this stage of the season than usual, the Chilean said, "I'm only talking about the game, nothing more," before walking away from the interview.
Despite losing to bitte rivals, Pellegrini defended his sides performance.
"We were the team that wanted to win for the whole game," he said. "The team that played for 95 minutes, but we missed our chances and made a mistake for their goal. We tried but we couldn't do it.
"In the first half before they scored we had control of the game, we had three or four clear chances to score, we couldn't do it, maybe in the minutes after the goal we didn't do so well but the second half was a good performance, good attitude, but we couldn't score."
City remain 4th in the League, and will have to ensure their remaining fixtures are victorious if they want Champions League football next season, with Manchester United and West Ham only a point behind them.
