Ligue 1 and the rest of the French football tiers could return in the middle of June. That is what the LFP inform, i.e. the body that organises all the national championships, in their latest report. The return to training is scheduled for 11th May.
The first thing that the players will do when they return is a full medical evaluation. It has been specified that this will involve testing for the coronavirus. This measure has already been questioned in Spain, as the Ministry of Health would not like to see it used massively. Perhaps the same would happen in France.
This plan to return to training in the week of 11th May isn't unmovable. The body, in their statement, specified that there will be more meetings as soon as it is known how the government headed by Emmanuele Macron intends to bring about the deconfinement.
"Developed by Emmanuel Ohrant, medical director of the French Federation, with the Federation's Medical Commission and the doctors of the professional clubs, this protocol provides for the players to return to the training centre the week of 11th May for a complete medical evaluation (cardiological, virological and psychological), as well as PCR tests", the LFP published.
