England scored two quickfire goals

The first was a peach of a finish from Jesse Lingard, following some good work from Dele Alli down the left. The Tottenham man found Lingard on the edge of the box and he curled a sumtuous effort into the top corner.
The second came less than two minutes later. Trent Alexander-Arnold was found on the right of the area and he hit a first time finish on the run to score his first England goal.
It was a passage of play that shocked the Americans, although England had been dominating the game up to that point.
Callum Wilson, who made his debut on the night, could have opened the scoring earlier, but just before taking the lead England were given a scare by Christian Pulisic.
