Emre Can's sole goal keeps Dortmund second

Borussia Dortmund are keeping a small flame alive in the fight for the Bundesliga. There is little to be done against Bayern Munich, but Favre's side won again, this time against a Hertha Berlin team that was unbeaten with Labbadia on the bench.
In a week marked by demonstrations against racism, Borussia Dortmund and Hertha Berlin made sure to support the cause before the game got underway.
Borussia Dortmund had a hard time creating opportunities, as Haaland's absence has been dully noted in the past week. The striker, who got injured against Bayern, was sidelined for the second game in a row. This leaves Favre without a '9'.
Borussia also had to lace up the defence. Emre Can appeared as a central defender in the defense of three although, to carry it in the blood, was incorporated on more than one occasion.
Borussia Dortmund had a similar game last week, but with a noticeably different amount of goals. They were stuck in the first half, hardly had any chances but did not concede to a Hertha Berlin who saw an injured Dilrosun leave before the break.
Borussia Dortmund gradually took over the game. They increased their speed in attack with the start of the second half and Hertha began to suffer with every move.
It was after a corner, on a second play, that Favre was finally able to breathe to tie up the second half. Emre Can, out of position, received a ball from Brandt's head to score with a cross-shot.
He was able to put Borussia Dortmund ahead, but again the team lacked consistency without Haaland. Sancho had two stunning chances, one right before the game finished, but he could not find his usual clinical edge and the score ended 1-0.
