Dzeko ignored medical advice and played with a mask on

It looked like something out of Phantom of the Opera. The Bosnian's appearance was eyecatching more for his appearance rather than what he did on the field of play. 

It should not have been like that. "Dzeko must wear a mask to protect the area, but for such an important injury, a mask is not enough. He will be fully recovered after 20 days, he must not be in a hurry. I advise him not to play against Sampdoria," doctor Pesucci had said. 

The Roma player did not listen and he came on in the second half to replace the injured Kalinic. Dzeko, who broke his cheekbone and suffered a fracture in the lower part of his left eye, made clear that that was not enough for him to miss a match. 

The Roma man was discharged on 8th October. He was meant to be out for 20 days, but returned after just 12.
