Donnarumma sets sights on success with Man City

It was a difficult summer for Donnarumma, left out of Luis Enrique's PSG plans and forced to find a new club. He completed his move on the deadline day, joining Manchester City, where he is ready to start a fresh chapter.
Speaking from the national team camp ahead of the World Cup qualifiers, he said: "I'm calm, very excited and happy. I couldn't wait to join City—they were really keen on me, which flattered me, because we're talking about one of the best clubs and one of the best coaches in the world.
"My aim is to win as much as possible with City and with Italy, and help bring them back to where they belong."
On leaving PSG, Donnarumma added: "I've always had a great relationship with Luis Enrique, and I appreciated his honesty. Every coach has to make their choices, but having the support of everyone, especially my teammates, made me realise how much I gave to PSG. That's what matters most."
He also spoke about reuniting with Gennaro Gattuso: "I was lucky to have him at Milan. I know what kind of person he is and how much he gives. I'm happy to work with him again. He's giving everything, and we players will do the same to take Italy to the top."
Finally, on being the only Italian candidate for the Ballon d'Or, he said: "I think last season was my best, because we won so much. It was one of the best years of my career. I hope to continue like this and achieve many more successes."
