Donnarumma's confession: "I thought we'd lost"

Gianluigi Donnarumma's initial reaction when Italy won the Euros was a very odd one. His celebrations were muted, but there was a reason for this. 

"I didn't know what was going on, I was on the floor when Jorginho missed, I thought we'd lost. After the save, I walked, I made sure VAR confirmed the save, then I saw my teammates run towards me and I realised what was happening, the goalkeeper told 'Sky Sport'.

As well as this, he also made reference to his controversial departure from AC Milan: "I'll talk about this in the coming days. What I can say now is that those colours will always be part of me. Now I'm enjoying this party and I'll be holiday from tomorrow (Monday)."

Finally, amid the possibility of being one of those selected to win the Ballon d'Or, he said he had heard people talk about that, but he was modest saying that he "isn't thinking about that."
