In Real Madrid's very strange start to the season, Casemiro, who has played almost every game, has been one of the team's positives. The midfielder has been key for Real and has even done well in the goalscoring department.
It happens to be that the Brazil international is the second highest goalscorer for Real Madrid behind Karim Benzema. Casemiro has scored as many as Bale and more than Kroos, Modric, Hazars, Jovic and others.
Benzema has scored six times in competitive matches and four in friendlies while Casemiro has netted twice in competitive fixtures, once in a friendly and twice for his country, a total of five.
Curiously, Gareth Bale has got the same numbers as Casemiro despite the Welshman not playing as many minutes as the midfielder.
If we just look at Real Madrid stats, Benzema leads the way with six. Then there is a three way tie in second between Casemiro, Bale and Kroos who all have two.
Very poor stats which highlight the fact Real Madrid need some natural goalscorers. Even though Benzema is doing well, he needs some others to help him out.
