Di Maria, euphoric after winning against France: "I can't believe it"

Di Maria came on as a starter in the final against France and had a superb first half after a few weeks with injuries. The 34-year-old striker gave a brief post-match interview to 'DSports' to talk about his feelings.

"I can't explain how I feel. It is a joy to be able to live this experience with my family and to have been able to overcome the personal challenge I had after losing in 2014. I have no words. It hasn't sunk in yet. I can't believe it," he said.

His performance will go down in the history of the competition. Not only has he had some great performances in previous editions, but he has also proved his worth as a footballer.

Di Maria is likely to speak again in public once the Argentina national team return home, where celebrations are expected.
